Joe, I just found out you passed . Was taking to Anthony sas, catching up . 3/4 of the way through the call he asked if I heard about what happened.
Had no idea. Joe you were a solid human being, always remembered where you came from and knew where you wanted to go . I enjoyed our conversions and lunches and the brainstorming we did. You will be missed friend .god bless you brother.

Our last group pic (w/o Declan). You were loved beyond measure and are missed beyond words.
I will forever miss the jokes about my clothes, the nicknames (CAM, Yogs), the rants, the longggg conversations with ANYONE, the naps anywhere, the stories about the Hampts, the boat rides, ALL of it.
Anthony, Charlotte, Teddy, Declan and I will go on but not without remembering it all.

Joe was our friend who became family. He was kind, honest and always generous with his time and expertise. Always positive and smiling. We will miss laughing at his old stories and listening to old records in “The Blue Room”. We will miss the boat rides and Saturday evening dinners. Thank you for loving on my children as if they were your own. We were all blessed to know you. Love The Tymons

Joe Cordes was larger than life. Everyone who came into his life would be able to see this in him, immediately. I always used Joe as a role model example with my three children - who admired him as much as I did.
Joe does not even know the impact that he had on me. In one simple evening he shifted my whole simple philosophy on life. I was wearing a sweatshirt that said, "Just a Kid from Lynbrook". Joe looked and me and said, "Why would anyone want to be 'JUST' a kid from anywhere"? Joe was so right, and I immediately shifted my thoughts and understood exactly what Joe was trying to share with me on this evening:
Always give 1000 percent in all that
you do; never settle for anything.
Make immediate goals after
accomplishments so that you can
continue to grow and learn and be
successful...not just a kid from
anywhere.
When Joe gave advice, he gave it wholeheartedly, with true purpose in helping everyone. It was easy to recognize how effective Joe's advice was because he lived it every day; he believed in all that he shared with his friends and family, and we looked up to him as someone with great pride in all that he accomplished, with most pride in his beautiful family.
Thank you, Joe, for being the person that my children can always look up to and strive to emulate in their lifetime. Your memory will live forever in so many lives that you have touched. We are so grateful to have known you. May you rest in peace.
All our love, Mary, Griffin, Harrison and Cameron Kirby

We first got to know JC as he coached and mentored Nicholas years ago as his CYO basketball coach. JC's love for the game and passion to instill character, hard work, persistence, practice, and all the old school qualities in all the kids on the team was palpable. His personality, sense of humor, quick wit, huge heart, and epic story telling skills quickly made for a bromance between him and Anthony. We will forever be grateful for our nights of dinner, drinks, stories, laughter, and advice either with just the grown-ups at a restaurant or with all the boys at one of our homes. We'll miss the text messages from JC, the morning after going out for dinner, telling us how he's eating his leftovers for breakfast. And we'll miss so so so much more than that. But we are all better for having had JC in our lives and we will always carry a piece of him in our hearts. We will always be here for Alison, Max, and Cooper.

I will never forget the lasting impact that JC will have on my life. From Raiders football to CoMax properties Joe has been a tremendous mentor, teaching me the core values of hard work and perseverance. JC’s great humor and ability to enjoy quality time with loved ones whether it was spent on “Up at Sunrise” or just watching the Jets on Sunday, he will be missed. Love and miss you JC❤️

I was lucky enough to meet Joe 24 years ago when Alison and Joe first started dating. I knew from the beginning that Joe and Alison were a strong team.
They laughed together and balanced each other out. Alison with her dancing and singing and Joe with his calmness and witty jokes. Joe was so dedicated to providing for his family and being an incredible father to Max and Cooper and they have both grown into incredible young men because of his love and guidance. Joe will always live in all of our hearts. Alison, Max and Cooper, we love you and are here for you!

We loved spending time with you from the moment our families met. You deserved so much more time, Joe. Despite the fact that you were robbed of years, we all did so much in those years. You went out on top at the NYPD, you launched your successful company, together with Alison you raised these spectacular kids into the amazing young men that Cooper and Max are today, and you loved our friend AC the most. You treated everyone you met with dignity and respect and found the humor in most things. We will miss you forever, friend, and we will never stop saying your name. We were together, I forget the rest. xo The Dellaconas

Everyone around him felt the warmth of his love for family, a love that was evident to all who knew him. From the days, when the boys were on the raiders and then CYO, the titans and then of course high school LAX and basketball. So many memories we will always have. You will be deeply missed…we are so grateful to have been part of your world.

The Paccio family lost our friend and we lost a part of our hearts. Joe Cordes was the friend we made later in life. He was chosen, out of all the people we encountered, to devote time and effort into. A friend who embraced us and our children. A friend we met and talked with and laughed with. A friend who saw the big picture, as we did. A friend with a strong sense of humor, and an insatiable appetite. Joe’s lust for life was limitless. His love for family, justice, travel, music, his fellow man, were undeniable. Joe gave us Alison and Max and Cooper who positively and eternally impacted our lives. We are altered and changed by this loss. We will move through this world better by his friendship and grateful for the time we had together.
