Drue was a guiding light and the mother hen for the PhD students. She kept us on the straight and narrow always with an uplifting smile. She made her corner of the world so much brighter and her positivity rippled further than she likely could have imagined. Drue will be missed and her memory a blessing.

Drue was one hell of a lady. Strong and fierce and utterly amazing. She welcomed everyone into her heart and home. And made you feel like family. You will be missed Drue but so glad you are no longer in pain. Michele John and Charly... who loves her aunty Drue.

After having been friends of Dan's in Middle School, I reconnected with Drue years later as adults living in Oceanside and though Dan & I had long since moved on in our lives, Drue always greeted me with a great smile filled with warmth. She definitely loved her family and all who touched them. I will remember her fondly!

So sorry for your loss but know that your Mom has been united with your Dad and loved ones. Words of consolation don't come easily when your eyes are filled with tears. We are now looking back in time when we would visit you and all the good times we had when you guys were just little kids and we were never bored. I loved walking and talking on the beach with your dad. Our memories are still pretty good.! Love each of you, Barbara & Lloyd
