Obituary of Marianne Rogers
Please share a memory of Marianne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Born in Baldwin, Long Island, Marianne was the third of seven children born to Raymond
and Catharine. Her youth was spent involved in sports, Girl Scouts, and other extracurricular
activities.
Marianne received her degree from Farmingdale University and had a successful career
at a prestigious law firm as a legal secretary, where she worked for 40+ years. Early in her
career, she moved to Los Angeles Ca., where she helped the firm plant roots in that state and
throughout the country. After several years, she returned to New York and worked in the White
Plains office. As office administrator, she was always willing to work late hours and lend a
helping hand. In her spare time, Marianne loved to travel with family and friends, but her love for
her family brought her the greatest joy. She was a proud and loving aunt and dedicated sister
who always thought of everyone before herself. She will always be remembered for her
generous spirit – truly one of the most giving people that ever was. She touched many lives and
had friends all over the country. Her quirky personality and sense of humor will never be
forgotten.
Marianne enjoyed her remaining years near the town of Bethlehem, Pa. Unfortunately it
was not meant to last. She passed away on Thursday March 30th, 2023. Marianne was 65
years of age.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Julia. She is
survived by five siblings; Joseph (Bernadette), Raymond (Frances), Cathryn (Robert), Christine,
and Andrew (Nancy). She is also survived by her uncle, Nicholas, along with ten nieces and
nephews and two great nieces.
