Catherine Mary Shea, nee Reid, age 93, of Oceanside, NY passed away peacefully at home. Her husband of 57 years, Albert, predeceased her. Catherine was the eldest of five children. Catherine is survived by three daughters, Linda (Alan) Schwartz, Paula (Fred) Barbarotto, and Cathy Shea (John Celenza). She leaves behind five grandchildren, Danielle (Armand), Benjamin (Sarah), James, (Gerilyn) Melissa (Andrew) and Gina (Douglas); and eleven great grandchildren. Catherine is also survived by her brother Thomas (Bonnie) Reid. Catherine was a devoted, loving mother, grandmother and sister. Her greatest pleasure was her family and she was thankful to be blessed with eleven great grandchildren. Catherine was an avid reader and enjoyed needlework and gardening until her eyesight failed. She worked for many years for Sears in Rockville Centre and Valley Stream.
