Deirdre Cavanaugh (nee Frary) the beloved bride of Daniel, precious daughter of Frank and the late Peggy Frary. Sister of the late Maripat Testa, Brian (Denise), Neil (Eileen), Tim (Laura) and Barbara. Unofficial adopted mother of Lisa and Lauren and loving aunt to Brittany, Megan, Jeannine, Joe, Katie, Briana, Danny, Ryan, Toby, Carly, Fallon, Sarah, Emma and Cate. She will be missed by all of her family and loved ones including the O’Keefe family, Sal Rappa, Chris Castro, Judy Lyons, Katie Peter Wroblesti and Jackie Marino just to name a few. She passed away on March 29th from a fight with cancer. Born and raised in Richmond Hill, Queens, veteran of Smokey Park. She was a Mets fan extraordinaire and worked at both Shea and Citifield for over 30 years. Alumna of St. Joseph’s College and Hunter College. She taught in JHS in Queens for 18 years and then another 19 years in MacArthur HS in Levittown. Deirdre loved teaching. The world has lost one of its lights. May she rest in peace.
