I only knew Deidre for a short time, but she certainly made a lasting impact. I met her as I was deciding to become a special education teacher, and her light, care-free influence is what gave me the confidence to move forward with my choice. I have been a successful special education teacher for over 8 years, and I attribute that longevity to Deidre. She was an incredible woman who knew only friends and made everyone feel like family. Her impact on the world will be missed.
