I don't remember the year but Kevin and AnnMarie joined us and a larger group to Puerto Plata, DR. The trip may have been for about 4 or 5 days and in that time, we had a ball in spite of the hotel losing power for a day. I recall that during the power outage, there was a severe storm and everyone was gathering bails of water in order to make sure we could flush the toilets. In that pouring rain, everyone decided to take a shower in order to take off the stickiness from the day and Kevin was leading the charge. We were running all over resort to make sure everyone in our group was aware of taking advantage of the rain water. The water didn't flow in the resort unless their pump was energized, so as soon as it started to downpour, everyone sought shelter but once they everyone saw what Kevin and Albert were doing, all the other guests started to do the same thing. It was hilarious.
On this same trip, Kevin introduced me to roulette and his best lesson from that night was to walk away even if you are up, so that you keep some of your winnings. In my house, he was KL -- and we deeply mourn with the Lewis family at his passing and to know that I won't get another chance to hear him sing "The Summer Wind" is so very sad.
