To Mary and Andy's entire family Elaine and I are so saddened to hear of Andy's passing. I knew Andy from being his teammate on the Astoria Bombers Softball Team (in the L.I. Star Journal League)..in the old days of Astoria. Great guy with a fantastic sense of humor...He and and I both bounced a batted softball in a game over the left field fence (almost 300 feet away) and Andy got credit for a homer but I only got credit for a double. We laughed at the judgement made by the umpire Frank...Mary and Andy, and
Andy's lifelong friends Ed Kruger and Ed Bernauer and their wives joined Elaine and I and a bunch of friends at the annual Italian dinner dance at Riccardo's one year...and had a great time....and they also joined us for a dinner dance at the Magnaninni Winery in upstate NY. I will never forget those great times. We share the sadness of Andy's family at this time but know that we will all meet again in a better place one day as our faith tells us...May Andy Rest in Peace until we meet again..Blessings on his family...Elaine and Joe Beccalori
