Miguel Melendez, not only were you a great supervisor and mentor, but you were also a wonderful person. It was an honor to have worked alongside you at the beginning of my career in RNDC. My condolences go out to your wife, children, and family. I pray that wherever you may be you are at peace and no longer suffering. Miguel went to church this morning prayed for you as well as your wife, children, and family members and friends.Prayed for all members throughout the department and especially RMSC coworkers who passed away. Great people to work with but so family oriented and worked so hard for their families. Thank you for the conversations we had about but most important to stay focus on your family and retire they deserve it. . Goal has been accomplished. THANK YOU MY FRIEND REST IN PEACE. Miguel so sorry my friend just found out. Worked with you years ago at Rosie's. Worked 3rd shift lockers in the same aisle.talked all the time. You ask me why I turned down the captain position. Ready to retire and move my family out of ny. Don't need the stress. It's been over 20 years retired. Still in good shape ,we always talked about staying healthy after retirement. Miguel my heart is broken and hurt right now. God bless you your wife and children, parents, friends and colleagues always. Miss you Miguel a great co worker and the department lost a good man, kind has compassion for people and willing to help others without hesitating. Love you Miguel Rest in peace. Miguel so proud of you, as you made it through each rank. I know you studied hard and m9st of all had the experience and knowledge about the job. Your personality, kindness, compassion, was always respected(you can't teach that principal). My heart is broken and sad right now.GOD BLESS YOU MIGUEL AS WELL AS YOUR FAMILY. To Doris and the entire Melendez family, please accept my sincerest condolences. As a coworker, Miguel was larger than life to me. He was my super hero. I admired and respected him tremendously. I would sit in his office or call him anytime and he took the time to talk with me. Always. He always had the right things to say and he always made me feel heard and important. Always. As a friend, he was kind, patient and fiercely devoted to his family. If Miguel could show up for you, he would. And did. If he could help you out. He would. And did. He was a solid, true gentleman and I am going to miss him deeply. This world really lost a great one and as we celebrate his life, a life where he loved and was loved, a life where he extended wisdom, kindness and a helping hand if needed, I can say that I am truly honored I had the privilege of knowing him and will treasure our moments forever. I pray that God covers the Melendez family in strength and comfort during this very difficult time. Rest in Peace, my friend. Amen
