When I was a first year apprentice my wife was pregnant with my daughter Erin. I had yet to work long enough to have the hours required to be covered by insurance. I didn’t know what I would do and was extremely worried. Then miraculously one of my teachers informed me that someone had called in a favor with a certain employer and I was credited with the hours necessary to be insured. I thanked my teacher and he replied “Don’t thank me, thank John Malloy.” I knew basically no one at that time so I asked “Who’s that?” “Your Business Agent” he replied. “find him at the next union meeting and thank him.” So I did and that was the beginning of a long friendship between John and I. I told him that I would do anything I could for him should he ever need my help in any way. He was very good to me throughout my career. I loved John Malloy. He was a good man and I was blessed to have him in my life. I will miss him deeply. For my brother in Christ, Thomas J. Bryant

Every one of the special events we've attended in the Malloy family, as a guest of Jerry and Melissa's, John was always smiling, so respectful and willing to lend a hand to everyone. It was very touching to see how loving he was with his friends and family and how great he was with his grandchildren. May he be happy in heaven with Mrs. Malloy and John Jr. resting in peace. Our condolences, Jill & Anthony Cardillo

John was such a genuinely kind person! He cared deeply for his family with all his heart and never spoke ill of anyone. When you talked to John, you could always tell he was fully engaged and truly listening. Many good times at Malibu and Principessa! You will be missed!
