Q: What will you never forget about Annette?
A: I never really spoke to your mom except to say hello but she was truly extraordinary. Despite her many ups and downs, she was always ever present at every school event she could physically attend.
I recall on several occasions hearing she was not doing well, only to see her at a school event a few days later and giving it her all. From plants and book sales, to international festivals, graduations and concerts; she was there cheering the kids on, showing support and being their proud grandma.
Her smiles and love for you all is something you will have forever.
Take comfort in knowing she is watching over you all and will always be with you. She will always be remembered for her dedication to you and the kids and the great strength and determination she showed to overcome her illnesses.
She is truly an inspiration to all.
Keeping you Nicole, Sez, John and Zachary in my thoughts and prayers.

Our deepest sympathy may she rest in peace with the angels because she was a walking angel. She was an amazing mother wife grandmother sister Nona friend! My whole life I remember her fighting for her health with a big smile and a big hug for everyone. She was a superhero and left this earth knowing she has a loving family. We love you theia! You will always be in our hearts!

Annette-Meaning: Grace; Favor. Similar to her soul and spirit. She was a wonderful and kind human with a lively disposition. She had style, she had humor, she had grace, spunk and joy. She lived for her grandchildren. She was her daughter's best friend, on-call babysitter and go with the flow - positive attitude - one-day-at-time badass warrior. She loved her culture, she loved food and trying new things, she loved to have fun and she was a giver of goodness. She leaves the legacy of her greatness and kindness! Thank you for all the little and big ways you've impacted those around you, Annette, but moreso thank you for your great energy and spirit! It was a privilege to know you. I did not see you often, but each time I did I always appreciated your great big hugs and for always sending hello and well wishes messages from Nicole. I will miss you! I will continue to see your spirit and soul live through Nicole because you've instilled that in her! To Nicole and entire family - wishing you our utmost deepest condolences! May faith and God continue to guide and protect in grieving and healing! May Annette's eternal love continue to shine! Sending peace, love and light!

Your mom was an inspiration. When I was going through my own struggles, she gave me a pep talk that would pick anyone who was down up. She was not at her best at the time, always fighting her own fight, but she said to me, “Anything you need, I am here for you. You will get through this!” Then, she gave me the most reassuring hug.
