Some of my earliest family memories are from LI-NY and Aunt Annie. She made me feel loved and special whenever we visited her. To know her is easy - just look at her three loving children and their families. Strong, resilient, Annie was loved by my mother Nellie Roberts. The last survivor of three wonderful Italian-American aunts my generation was blessed to have. When you visited as a 4, 5, 6 year old, you WERE going to get kissed on the face and your cheek pinched. And when she spoke it was pure Longiland, like good music as I reflect now. To my cousins Gary, Kevin and Leslie and your extended families, Faith and I send our deepest sympathies for your loss.
With all our love,
Robby and Faith Roberts

I met Ann in 1980 when I started dating her oldest son. She was so warm and welcoming that my sister jokingly said it was worth marrying Gary to gain her as a mother-in-law. She was the opposite of all the m-i-l jokes, helpful, kind, never critical. Since I believe the Bible's promise of a resurrection of all those in God's memory, this is just a temporary goodbye to my dear Ann.

I loved my mother very much, she was an encouraging and loving human being, and we were very happy and very privileged to have had her as our mother and as an example in our lives. She will be missed and we will think fondly of our memories of her life. Those who knew my mom fell in love with her kindness and acceptance, she appreciated those she knew as themselves, never judged people, and taught us to be likewise. After she passed, I remembered what my Aunt Nellie told all of us while lying in her hospital bed dying: “Think happy thoughts”
Of all the good times we had with her, and I’ve been doing that since my mom got ill with this deadly, heartbreaking disease.
THE HOPE:
From my studies of the scriptures, I have the hope taught in the bible, the thing we all pray and prayed growing up “The Lord’s Pray, our Father, or Lord's prayer”, where he taught us all to pray for his rule of Jehovah's Kingdom” Matthew 6:5-15 “5 “Also when you pray, do not act like the hypocrites, for they like to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the main streets to be seen by men.a Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your private room and, after shutting your door, pray to your Father who is in secret.c Then your Father who looks on in secret will repay you. 7 When praying, do not say the same things over and over again as the people of the nations do, for they imagine they will get a hearing for their use of many words. 8 So do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need even before you ask him. 9 “You must pray, then, this way:“‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth.11 Give us today our bread for this day;k 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. l 13 And do not bring us into temptation,n but deliver* us from the wicked one. 14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you;o 15 whereas if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 5: 28,29
JESUS CHRIST’S EXAMPLE
The Bible helps us to understand how Jehovah and Jesus feel about death. Jesus, who perfectly reflected his Father, knew the pain of losing someone in death. (John 14:9) When he was in Jerusalem, Jesus used to visit Lazarus and his sisters, Mary and Martha, who lived in the nearby town of Bethany. They became close friends. The Bible says: “Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.” (John 11:5) As we learned in the preceding chapter, though, Lazarus died.
How did Jesus feel about losing his friend? The account tells us that Jesus joined Lazarus’ relatives and friends as they grieved over this loss. Seeing them, Jesus was deeply moved. He “groaned within himself and became troubled.” Then, the account says, “Jesus gave way to tears.” (John 11:33, 35) Did Jesus’ grief mean that he had no hope? Not at all. In fact, Jesus knew that something wonderful was about to happen. (John 11:3, 4) Still, he felt the pain and sorrow that death brings. In a way, Jesus’ grief is encouraging to us. It teaches us that Jesus and his Father, Jehovah, hate death. Luke 23:39-43: Then one of the criminals hanging there began to speak abusively to him,+39 “You are the Christ, are you not? Save yourself and us too!” 40 In response the other rebuked him, saying: “Do you not fear God at all, now that you have received the same judgment? 41 And we rightly so, for we are getting back what we deserve for the things we did; but this man did nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said: “Jesus, remember me when you get into your Kingdom.”+ 43 And he said to him: “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise.”+
APOSTLE PAUL REITERATED A RESURRECTION
In the book of Acts 24:15, Paul reiterates the resurrection hope “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection
of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
THE TIME REMAINING BEFORE JEHOVAH’S PROMISE IS REALIZED.
HOW WOULD WE KNOW?
But how can we know when the world has reached its “last days”? Apart from Bible chronology, is there any way to determine for a certainty, which period of time will see the end of this present system of things?
In the first century the disciples of Jesus wanted to know that too, so they pointedly asked him what would be the sign “of the conclusion of the system of things.” (Matt. 24:3) In answer, Jesus enumerated many of the momentous events that would take place. These events would come together within one generation to identify the “last days” clearly. They would be like the different lines that make up a person’s fingerprint, a print that cannot belong to any other person. The “last days” contain their own unique grouping of marks, or events, forming a positive “fingerprint” that cannot belong to any other time period.
When the many factors are put together, we find that our generation, our day is the one that is identified in the Bible as the “last days.” In fact, in this year 2024, we are actually living in the final part of that time!

I loved my mother as many of you love or have loved your mothers, I look forward to seeing her again very soon, young again with her skin becoming fresher than at her youth Job 33:25 “Let his flesh become fresher than in youth;”
