Dear family of Paul, I am so deeply saddened to hear of this tragic accident. Paul had just moved in to a lake house at Brant Lake, next to my family’s lake house. After 5 seconds of speaking to Paul for the first time, I knew immediately that he was a kind and special person. His gratitude and appreciation for being able to have a place on the lake really warmed my heart. He was so enthusiastic about being new neighbors. He was so welcoming and even helped my 90yr old grandfather with a few things around the yard. I am devastated that after only 1 year of knowing Paul, this accident/tragedy has occurred. I am so so so sorry for your loss. I just can’t believe it.

It is so surreal how we were just together to see Nicole graduate and become a doctor days before your passing. You told Michael it was the happiest day of your life. That’s how I will remember you, beaming with pride and looking so happy. Thanks for being there for our girl. Rest in peace, Paul, and please watch over Nicole.

Paul lit up the room whenever he walked in. My most joyous moments were spent in his company. He was my biggest cheerleader, always supporting and uplifting me. Our unique bond was truly special, and he will live in my heart forever.
R.I.P., Paul.

Paul was instrumental in helping us with our business in Brant Lake. In fact, Paul helped me twice this month with his usual, outgoing personality. Of course, his dog was by his side the whole time. This past fall, he was beaming with pride as he showed his new Brant Lake home to us. We are so shocked and saddened hearing the news of Paul. Our prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time. Please know he touched so many people with his infectious smile and laughter. Teri and Paul Schuerlein
