My beloved friend Bob,
You were not just a friend to me; you were my confidant, my soulmate, and the beating heart of our shared memories. I find myself wrestling with regret over lost opportunities to stay closer, yet I know dwelling on what-ifs serves no purpose.
Your presence in my life brought boundless joy and warmth. Your laughter filled every corner of my heart, and your kindness touched countless lives, including mine. Though words cannot fully express the depth of my feelings, I hope you've found peace in heaven, surrounded by the love you gave so freely.
Your memory will forever be a cherished light in my life's journey, guiding me with warmth and affection.
With all my love and enduring gratitude,
Maha Maria Piehl

Our Uncle Bob was a true gem of a person with an absolute heart of gold. Truly as best as they come. Those who had the honor of being in his life, knew how lucky they were because our uncle was a real gift to all of us. He brought such an abundance of unconditional love, positivity, warmth, and selflessness to any relationship he had. His fierce loyalty and dedication to the ones he loved was evident each and every day. I always noticed how much joy it brought Uncle Bob watching his loved ones have a good time together. Family and friends meant the world to him. He truly would do anything for his people. Any time, any where, you could always count on him to be there. His love for life and appreciation for all of the little things was unparalleled. There was no one like our Uncle Bob. I will always miss his happy disposition and presence around our holiday table. His warmth, gentle voice, and advice were comforting during any hardship that we were confronted with. I truly can’t imagine a world without him. He will always be remembered and spoken about as our legendary, mensch of an uncle. Thank you for all that you were and the beauty you brought to all of our lives. You truly enhanced our world with a whole lot of wisdom and kindness. We will love you forever, forever and for always our dear Uncle Bob.

“Uncle Bob” had a quiet, kind, generous, loving, nonjudgmental, nature. We seemed to bring a bemused expression to his face whenever he saw us. We loved him and he loved us. He was the epitome of what an ideal “Uncle” would be.
Some of our fondest memories were his Birthday celebrations at the beach house. He was happiest surrounded by his friends and family, enjoying the delicious food prepared by the love of his life, Janet.
We will forever remember him and miss him with all our hearts
Anthony, Anna, Tommy, Angela, Sophia and Leo.

Bob was my very dear brother in law. He was quiet, kind and caring. Eleven years ago he donated healthy gut flora to me when mine was decimated by a severe infection and unsuccessful treatment. But for that, these words would not be written by me now. May he rest in peace. May he be surrounded by those who have gone before him.
