I was so sorry to hear about the passing
of your mom. I can’t believe I met her over 50 years ago! I remember your parents
had some nice Christmas parties and would
extend an invitation to my parents!
I know she will be greatly missed.
God bless you all.

They all stayed friends for 8 decades! Who does that? From this unique sorority sprouted and entire 'family tree' that welcomed us, the second generation. The highlight was the annual Sorority picnic [Thank you, Charlotte and Bill] where memories were embedded in our hearts. We visited Jean and John at Briny Breezes at a point when my parents needed some assistance getting around. It's no wonder they loved it there!
It was then we realized just what a prize the Ravallis were. We were always welcomed and treated like royalty. We maintained a friendship with Jean after John and my parents were gone.
Oh, could we reminisce! It took me a little time to realize that it was mutually therapeutic! Together we kept John, my parents, and the sorority alive.
Jean always recalled "The fun we had!". This group mostly had nothing in comparison to today, and yet made everything good out of it. They just knew how to have fun and keep family and friends close. Jean was central to it all. Always the organizer. She knew all of the extended sorority families and kept in touch with many of us.
Jean's passing marks the end of a unique era that cherished faith, family and friends. I know we will all miss her.

Extending the deepest of condolences to “Aunt” Jeans family and friends. She was truly a bright light and one in a million! She was my Mom’s (Aileen) BFF and sorority sister since High School.
Having her in our lives meant so very much and was such a gift. She was so funny a great storyteller and she loved big! She brought so much joy to the room! I can still hear her giggle and laugh. Those sorority picnics every year will live in fond remembrance for all who attended.
She will always be loved, missed, and remembered with all of our hearts. Heaven just received another beautiful soul and I cant help but think there is a party involved somewhere in heaven.
Love Always,
Joyce & Matthew McCabe

Jean, you always went out of your way to make sure that I got my antique fix when visiting Oceanside, NY. I will always remember your visits to Virginia. We had great times together. You and John showed us how to get a puffer fish to blowup when fishing in the river. I will miss you. Rest in peace.

Dear Jean, you’re very special to me. I’ve enjoyed our conversations through the 55 years we’ve known each other. Two instances in particular come to mind: After my grandfather passed away, you recognized my despair and comforted me with your loving advice. You also encouraged me several times when I was anxious about running in a high school track meet. And thank you for the holiday letters and Hurricane Sandy updates! I love you Jean and will keep you in my thoughts and in my heart forever. Ira
