I’ve known Bobby literally all my life. Growing up my mom Margaret and Micheal would take me to either Bobby and Bobby’s apartment or when they had little Bobby there house in Oceanside. All I have to say is I wish I would have known that he passed I would have given the much earned respects to not just a good man but a great man Bobby you will be missed and I am so sorry you are gone.

As human beings go, you lived your life by filling the asset side of the balance sheet. You could never do enough for others, always putting everyone else first. Your priorities never included yourself, but everyone else’s instead.
We all have people in our lives that made a difference for us in one way or another. Bob was one of those people for me. There are no words my departed brother. I know you’re in a better place now and for that I am grateful. Forever heartbroken, forever grateful for you, forever a part of my life. Will forever love you and keep you in my heart.

I met Bobby 41 years ago when he came and interviewed for a cooks job at Saffron Restaurant. It was his first job in a kitchen. He was a quick learner and in no time became my sous chef. We worked together for about 5 years and became close friends. He went on his own after that and I always dined where he was. I was glad that I visited him on my last trip to NY and that we spoke just before Christmas.
He will always be my friend and I will miss him dearly. My prayers are with him and his family. Love you, Dante
