Papa the toughest short Italian man in the world. You always had such incredible stories to share and advice to give. Thank you for being the most amazing example of what a man should be. The love you had for your family and others was special. I will miss coming downstairs and hearing you say there’s my baby. Until we meet again your little girl- Nicola

You were always there for me and my family. You were always willing to help me, provide guidance and advice, and basically give what support you could. You were a great Papa to your grandchildren and always showed your love of them. You will be missed very much, but at least now you are together again with Mom. I love you Dad!

My Dad was a big man, for his size. He is always helping everyone and doing for friends and his family. Even into his late 80's and on, he never refused anyone. I will miss his help and generosity he gave. He is now with my Mom, looking over his children and his grandchildren which he loved so much. Say hi to mom and keep watching us. I love you. Sol Jr.

For such a short man, “Papa D” towered over us all with his kindness, his smile and his devotion to his wife and family. He has been one of my role models in raising my family.
Images of him with his fig trees and of him and his buddies playing cards and drinking homemade wine at the house upstate are forever etched in my memory.
God speed and peace until we all meet again!
