Mike Baumann, a devoted husband, father, and master electrician, passed away on October 23rd, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and an impressive legacy of hard work, generosity, and laughter. He was 62 years old. Born November 25th, 1960, Mike lived his entire life in Oceanside where he built a network of life-long pals, colleagues, and friendly acquaintances. From a young age, he was obessed with figuring out how things worked, often taking household objects apart just to satisfy his curiosity. As a teenager, he would surprise his father by fixing his neighbor's lawnmowers with parts he'd salvage from garbage cans. As an adult, he had an extremely strong work ethic, often working two or three jobs at a time. He excelled as an electrician, eventually earning the title Master Electrician. His dedication and skill in his trade earned him the respect and admiration of all who were fortunate enough to work with him. Mike was more than just a hardworking professional; he was a dedicated family man. He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Stone Ives, and his father, Edward Baumann, a fellow electrician and veteran. He is also preceded in death by his sister Leslie. Mike has two children, Brittany Ann and Michael Joseph. He has always encouraged them to pursue their dreams and achieve their goals. In 2019, Mike endured the sudden loss of his beloved wife, Donna Claire Lang. Now, they are reunited in the embrace of Heaven, where they can share eternal peace and love. Mike's legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and the pursuit of knowledge — a legacy that will continue to inspire us all. He had an incredible ability to make people laugh. His off-beat perspective, unique personality, and funny stories were a constant source of entertainment. He had a special gift for finding humor in everyday situations, brightening the lives of all those around him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may the laughter he brought to our lives echo in our hearts forever.
