Elaine G. Ajello, of Rockville Centre, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2023. She was 82 years old. Elaine was surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Clyde and Mary Griffith, Elaine was born and raised in Ludwigs Corner, PA on her parents' farm. She spent her life as a dedicated educator. She was the co-founder of the Holy Trinity Nursery School in Rockville Centre, and a teacher and principal in Port Washington, NY. She was a member of the Rockville Centre Board of Education as well as an adjunct professor at Hofstra University. Elaine was also one of the founding members of the Rockville Centre Education Foundation. Elaine is survived by her children, David (Diana), Scott (Liz), and Stephanie (Pete) as well as 8 grandchildren whom she adored. She is predeceased by her daughter Christine Burrows. Elaine was an avid reader, loved playing mahjong, traveling with friends, and being with her family.
