Ida Lillian Acunto of Marina del Rey, California passed away peacefully on July 2 nd at the age of 96 years
old. She is survived by her seven grandchildren George, Jenifer (PJ) Brewer, Vincent, Ashley, Alexis,
Isabella, and Sophia and two great granddaughters Jordana and Paige. She is also survived by her loving
sister Jenine (Joseph) Aniano and longtime friends Sheri Rosen Brown and Phil Seiflein. She is
predeceased by her two sons George and Richard Acunto, her parents Maria and Joseph and her siblings
Augustino and Joseph. She is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews that she adored. She
loved life and was a very gifted artist. She was a very proud educator and Principal of the High School at
Nassau BOCES Cultural Arts Center. She studied education, psychology, and art history to name the
many fields she was so deeply proud of as well as her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
The wake service will be held at 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 6th at Towers Funeral Home Inc., 2681 Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY.
Calling hours will be Thursday, July 6th from 6 - 9 PM at Towers Funeral Home.
