Amma,
It still doesn’t feel real to me and I don’t think it will for a while. I’ll never forget the times we spent sharing a blow up mattress and waking up on the floor the next morning. The times we spent on vacation in Puerto Rico when you had to go to the doctors because you got bit by a zillion mosquitos (only you) or the Bahamas where you’d get the best tan sitting under the umbrella the entire time. You were always my partner on those vacations. When I introduced Nick to the family, you were so loving towards him (as you would refer to him as “yum yum” lol). Words cannot express how happy I was that you were able to attend the most important day of our lives, our wedding. Despite everything going on with your health, you still pushed through and made it your priority to attend. I appreciated that more than you could ever know. I love you very much Amma and will miss you dearly. Love, Kristen.

Mom, we've shared so much over the years, laughter, secrets, and tears. We loved and hoped and dreamed, we fought, and hollered and screamed, but through it all - we Loved! I loved dressing you up like it was Prom night for G-ma's 90th birthday, and the night we were "twinning" for an Award Dinner for Bobby Valentine at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich!!
Best times were vacations in Bahamas with kids, and Punta Cana, and Mexico, and our "Mommy and Me" day trips to The Castle in Tarrytown, Kykiut, Lyndhurst Mansion, and Cold Spring! Our family time, Box Rummy, Taboo, and the ever MEMORABLE Cards Against Humanity game!!! YIKES!! But I think most of all, I will NEVER forget, our Friday night!!!

A Wonderful Mom.
Rita was a wonderful woman with a wonderful heart. She was a great mother to Hope and Anthony who she raised all by herself in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and worked 4 jobs to enroll them in catholic school. She was a grandmother to Olivia and Kristen whom she loved very much. Rita wasn’t wealthy nor was she of great means but was somehow very smart on budgeting and saving and although it was very tough at times being poor, she provided the two of them with as much as she could and worked tirelessly to do so, at times going without sleep. Rita attended many baseball games with Hope cheerleading and Anthony playing baseball. She would make the best of every little thing and made sure her kids had what was needed although it may not have always been what was wanted. Rita was a very friendly person and welcomed anyone into her home during Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was a great cook and cooked for 100 people although there were only three people in the house. She had a great smile but was tough and did what she had to do to make sure her kids walked a straight line. Rita was definitely the life of the party and sincerely loved and enjoyed dancing. Something she was not able to do as her sickness worsened and although things were very tough for her towards the end she kept a positive outlook and did not want to disappoint or upset her kids. She fought to the very end and will forever be missed and loved.
I want to introduce you to my mother, Rita. She is loved dearly and will be missed immensely. I will never forget everything she’s done for me as she was always there, no matter what. I love her and although she is gone now I know I will see her again. Mom, rest in peace and may God bless your soul. I love you very much. Your son, Anthony.

Rita, words cannot express how I personally feel losing another wonderful and kind person. Though I lived far from you and family, I always thought about you. Grateful for being the Sister I never had. You will be missed. I am sorry I will not be attending the services, but my condolences go out to the family, especially Hope and Anthony. Always loved, yesterday, today and eternally. Rest in Peace Sis!
