John Charles Petrovic was born January 30, 1961 the son of Charles Petrovic and Joan Thompson Petrovic, He lost his battle with brain cancer on May 28, 2022 at the age of 61. John had three sisters that he adored Barbara, Carol and Diane. He married Bridget Mattera on February 24, 2001 and they have two beautiful daughters, Ripley and Sydney. John was a loving father, husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, godfather, and friend. He loved spending time with his family and being around those who meant the most to him. John was a gentle, kind, and selfless person, who always put others before himself. He enjoyed making people smile and was always cracking jokes and pulling hilarious pranks. His sense of humor was loved by all, and it was nearly impossible to not be smiling in his presence. John was a letter carrier for the United States Post Office for 13 years. He stopped working after he was injured on the job. He was thrilled to spend more time with his wife and two daughters. He loved being a stay at home dad and would joke that he was "Johnny all jobs". He and his family enjoyed vacationing and traveling. They took many trips over the years. His favorite destination was Walt Disney World in Orlando ,Florida. John was a kid at heart and truly felt the magic of Disney. He loved visiting amusement parks and going on rides with his children, especially roller coasters. John also liked to attend baseball games, his two favorites being the New York Yankees and the LI Ducks. He loved watching sports especially if his daughters were playing them. John was always there to cheer his children on. He was their number one fan. John loved to watch the WWE, he also enjoyed watching movies, especially action adventure and superhero movies. He loved the Marvel Universe. John's many interests and hobbies made him the wonderful person that he was. John is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Bridget, his two daughters Ripley and Sydney, his sisters Barbara and Diane, his sister in laws Andrea, Lucy and Debbie, his brother in laws Joey and Joe and his nieces and nephew Christine, Jennifer, Kelly, Sara, Cody, Max and faith. His death has left an indescribable hole and emptiness in the hearts of his loved ones.
