It’s coming on 2 years that you’re gone. Rosemary’s tribute to you was perfection! Say hi to Nanny, your parents, aunts and uncles who are up there with you! I’m sure it’ll be a big birthday celebration for your 70th! Your children Danny and Christine are amazing people, and we hope to see them again soon! You once said your Danny resembled my Nick, and you were right! Happy 70th birthday tomorrow!
Love, Kathleen

For me, no one will ever match my big brother’s wit, humor, and sense of sarcasm. He was never at a loss to share a quick, funny comment in any given situation. He was probably the smartest person I’ve ever known, and was far more compassionate, caring, and sensitive than he ever wanted anyone to know. We were forever friends, even when we didn’t speak so often. He was what a big brother should be, and we could always confide in each other. As the oldest of our generation of 20 cousins (who are more like 20 siblings), he was the leader of the pack.
I was blessed to have shared a perfect day with him the week before he passed. We reminisced about everything under the sun…every single chapter from childhood through adulthood… all the silly kid stories, the teenage years, our many family moves and our big extended family, relationships, marriages, kids, divorces, and everything in between. A lifetime retold in a few short hours.
I texted him the following day to say what a great time I had and how much I missed just hanging out with him. He texted back saying it was fun and then said “Forget all my embarrassing stories (Jedi Mind Trick)”… That was Billy.
Life will go on but will never be the same without him. He’s busy on a new adventure that none of us will get to know until we meet again. Until that time comes, I, for one, will keep him alive in the retelling of our stories and the sharing of our memories. xx

We were both so shocked and saddened to hear about Bill's passing. We will always remember him as "The Master of the Bottom End" of Partners in Crime. So many happy memories of gigs from Queens to Montauk. Bill brought joy, warmth and fun to everyone he knew. He will be missed.

Billy and I were comic book fans - Back in the 1970's, we would read them, sell them at comic shows, and we even worked together in a comic book store.
In fact, I think of Billy, (and not the Marvel superhero Daredevil) as "The Man Without Fear"
Bill had told me of his many serious health issues, (and I'm sure he was hurting much more than he let on). Yet, he was willing to drive to Brooklyn to visit me and my wife*, and told us of his ''bucket list" - to visit as many places as possible - and the more dangerous it was, the more he was set on going there!
He was the bravest person I ever knew!
And a warm and wonderful friend as well!
He will always be remembered and loved!
*Who, upon meeting him, experienced his graciousness, and mesmerizing storytelling abilities.

I am saddened of the loss his wife, my sister Barbara, his Children; Matthew, Daniel, Victoria, Peter and Christine have suffered. I feel blessed to have shared memories with Bill and many interesting conversations as he was a man of knowledge - his words and values are testament to the man he is. Our family is devasted over his sudden loss and the legacy he left on our family is unmatched by any words that can be written. Our family will never be the same. Much sorrow, Alicia Dadabo & John Gerard

Bill was a good man, and loved his family very much. Bill had a great sense of humor. He would frequently have us hanging onto our sides bent over with laughter. That is how I will always remember him. I am sending my thoughts and prayers out to all his family. I know he left us way too soon and will be greatly missed. Karen Orlando

My deepest condolences to the family, Bill was a mentor to me, he believed in me more than I believed in myself. He pushed me to the best version of myself and to never apologize for it, he always told me to never stop learning and never give up, what he taught is part of what continues to drive me when I am faced with barriers and struggles. He was a great mentor, a great person and will be missed truly.
