Vincenza Costa Virzi of Oceanside, N.Y. passed away in the early hours of April 4. 2022 at the age of 92 after a long illness. Vincenza was born in Naples Italy in 1929. She migrated to New York in 1964 when she met the love of her life Thomas. Together they created a life full of love and devotion.
Vincenza was a beloved mother and grandmother of two. She will be remembered for devotion to her family both here and those she left behind in Naples, her attention to her home, her expression of love through her delicious cuisine and her fierce pride of her children. She will also be remembered fondly as the “Iron Lady” over coming all obstacles.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Vincenza.
