I finally made varsity soccer as a senior and got to join him as a forward - he'd been on varsity since 10th. I always passed him the ball to start because he made things happen. So sorry he left you so soon. -Steve Shebar

My sincere condolences to the Kuplicki family....I will always remember Rich for his sense of humor and his love for NY sports... but most importantly his passion for his profession. Whenever you needed a suggestion or solution Rich was always there to lend some insight and help problem solve the issue at hand.
I know that Heaven is gaining one of the good ones and that he's now reunited with Dave and Lou and they're sitting back laughing, and sharing a beverage......
Rest in peace Rich.....you will be missed.

To Sheila, Daniel, Timothy, and Kelly,
Please know that all of you and your dad are in my thoughts and prayers.
I will always remember Rich for his sense of commitment to everything he did. He was a very dedicated individual, whether it was to his profession, his family, or his friends, Rich gave all he had.
In my head I can still hear what seemed to me to be his personal mantra: "do the right thing, ya know?"
Rich had a very clear sense of right and wrong, and he lived it. It was an honor and a blessing to have me to have known him.
Rich would always take the time to ask about another person's life. he was always interested what other's had to say. I'll never forget Rich's endless energy, running from work to soccer field day after day so he could coach his children.
I have fond memories of our time spent together, sharing laughs and music, listening to his old Harry Chapin, Byrds, CSN, Phil Ochs and countless other albums.. God Bless.

Rich was cool...sometimes in an awkward way, but he was always trying to be kind. We go back aways, to Plaza School and the Plaza Bar...but baseball was the passion we always shared...little league, Babe Ruth, the Mets. How he so loved the '69 Mets! We could talk about them forever. Rich for me defines what the kids now call, "chill." Rich was chill and he made others around him feel chill, too. I am sorry I cannot make the wake. My heart will be there. My thoughts are with all of you...Mike, we knew each other way back when...I'm deeply sorry for the loss of Rich. Sheila, we met a couple of times...I know this is so painful, but you have good friends and family and that helps so much.

My deepest condolences to your family. I took Rich to a couple Mets games with our company Keurig Dr Pepper and he always brought his son. Tremendous family man! Long story but he allowed me to take my son to a Mets game in his place- something I’ll never forget. Our prayers are with you - stay strong.
