My condolences to the Peppel Family. I was a friend from back in the Woodhaven days. Tommy and I played Rich-Haven Baseball together and we were very close during our time at Archbishop Molloy High School, since we sat next to each other in Home-Room with the similar last names. We loved standing up to eat at Molloy, and went to Esopus camp together. We worked together at Cypress Swim Club as sweepers, and I can still remember riding our bikes on Jamaica Avenue to get there. I remember when Tom got his first car, a Chevy Citation, as he was among the first of us to drive. He loved to fish with his Dad, going really early in the mornings on the weekend. He spoke highly of Amanda and his children. He told me of how Jack was on three baseball teams and Delaney was looking at colleges in North Carolina. We were all Met fans, naturally from Queens, and we all celebrated the 1986 Championship series in Tommy's basement. He will be terribly missed. Again my condolences.
