BFF is a term that is sometimes bandied about loosely these days, but Barb is the embodiment of that for me. She has been my best friend since we first met way back when I was in 8th grade and she was a freshman at EHHS. I think I spent as much time at her house as I did my own, and came to look upon her family as an extension of mine.
Oh, the memories! Like when she loaded up that little VW bug with a bunch of friends after school and taught me how to drive a stick! Or when we rode air mattresses down Salmon River with me in front and her behind hanging onto my feet! So many dances and parties! Her sweet personality and fun loving nature earned her the nickname of "Jolly" back then among her many, many friends.
Barb was always there for me in all aspects of my life -- best friend, confidante, maid of honor, partner in crime (ha ha!). We had so many adventures over the years, including a road trip up through New England that she referred to as our "Thelma and Louise" trip!
Barb, I love you with all of my heart and am so grateful to have enjoyed your presence in my life for so many years. Until we meet again!
