LeRoy Cosby Jr "Cos" at 77 years old departed this life on Sunday August 1st, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 15th,1943 to LeRoy and Florence Cosby but raised by Aunt Mable, Uncle Henry and his late mother Ruby. He had one brother Richard and three sisters Audrey, Maureen and Alice.
While taking beautiful snapshots of the world, LeRoy proudly served the United States Navy as a 1st Class Petty officer for over 20 years and later obtained his Masters Degree in photography from the New York Institute of Technology.
LeRoy is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Josie Cosby, his children Vivian and Guy Reilly, Maryann Cosby and Dan;Ezra and Jean Cosby; Faustino Cosby and Debbie; grandchildren Shawn,Tiffany, Christopher, Ezra II, Kimberly, Ryan, Edwin, Nicolle, Kiarra & Erin;great grandchildren Christian , Kai, Koa, Madelyn, Noah, & Marcil.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.
A prayer service will be held 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 8th at Towers Funeral Home Inc., 2681 Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton on Monday, August 9th at 12:00 pm.
Calling hours will be Sunday, August 8th from 1-3 & 5-7pm at Towers Funeral Home Inc., 2681 Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY.
