May 12, 1956 - April 9, 2021 Vincent James Calderone, beloved husband to Lorrie, father to Joseph and Nicholas. Brother and brother-in-law to Catherine and David Rotkowitz, James and Donna Calderone, Robert and Nanci Brockett and Michael Brockett who preceded him in death. Beloved uncle of Robert, Thomas, Gina, Christopher, Kaitlynn, Rob, Maura, Ronan and the late David. His dream of retiring and relocating to Myrtle Beach, SC was just around the corner. Those who knew him also knew of his abundant love of poker and becoming a player in The World Series of Poker Tournament. Vinnie was a very devoted family man and was extremely hardworking. He also served for 46 years as a member of Salamander H. L. & B. Company of the Oceanside Fire Department. He was fun loving, kind hearted and would do anything for anyone. We love you always and forever Vinnie and will miss your comedic way of life and emoji's. A firematic service will be held on Saturday, April 17th at 5:30PM, followed by a prayer service officiated by Deacon Jim Flannery at Towers Funeral Home Inc., 2681 Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY. Calling hours will be Saturday, April 17th from 3 - 7PM at Towers Funeral Home Inc., 2681 Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vinnie's memory to: A Mother's Kiss, PO Box 513, Ridge, NY 11961 and/or Nassau County Fire Fighters Burn Center Foundation, 2201 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, NY 11554.
