Obituary of Bridget Surdich

Please share a memory of Bridget to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bridget Surdich (nee Sweeney) passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2021, at the age of 79. She was born in County Donegal, Ireland on January 26, 1941 to the late Joseph and Mary Sweeney and was raised in Glasgow, Scotland. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony, and her sister, Anne Hunter. She is survived by her daughter Jeannine Parker, her husband Mike, and their son Michael; her son Anthony, his wife Barbara, and their children Anthony and Ryan; and her son Sean, his partner Marilyn, and their children Alessia and Avriana. She is also survived by her brother, Frank and his partner Grace of Paisley, Scotland. She will be deeply missed by her family and will be forever in our hearts. We find comfort knowing our beloved mother is finally at rest and rejoicing in heaven. A light from our household is gone, A voice we loved is still A place is vacant in our home, That never can be filled. You can only have one mother, Patient kind and true, No other friend in all the world, Will be the same to you. When other friends forsake you, To mother you will return, For all her loving kindness, She asks nothing in return. As we look upon her picture, Sweet memories we recall, Of a face so full of sunshine, And a smile for one and all. Sweet Jesus take this message, To our dear mother up above, Tell her how we miss her, And give her all our love.
