Obituary of Mary Seaman

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary Seaman passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2nd at her home in Oceanside, NY.  Mary was born to George and Andreana Buhagiar in Malta on November 19, 1944.  She married Bill Seaman on her birthday in St. Paul’s Cathedral in Mdina, Malta. Bill and Mary eventually settled and raised a family in Oceanside, NY.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years. Mary was kind, funny, extraordinarily generous and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She enjoyed gardening, holiday gatherings, working at Oceanside School #9E (Boardman Elementary School), visiting with many friends, shopping trips with Jen, playing bingo and an occasional trip to the casino. Above all else, Mary loved her family.  Our hearts are heavy and she will be missed. We are grateful that her legacy will live in her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her three children-Michael (Jessica), Rob (Rose) and Jennifer. Anyone who knew Mary, knows that her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was a beloved Nana and is survived by her four grandchildren – Caroline, Tiana, Zach and Christopher, all of whom have inherited her generosity and kindness. Mary’s siblings live all over the world (Malta, UK and Australia) and she spoke with them often and they all remain close. She is also survived by 4 sisters – Censina, Nina, Marthese (Charlie) and Rita (Michael) and 2 brothers – Joey (Guliana), Salvatore (Vicky). She was also a beloved Aunt to her many nieces and nephews.  A small private family service will be held, and we will have a celebration of her life at a later date. In lieu of gifts, please consider a donation to the American Lung Association. We thank you for any thoughts, prayers or love extended to us at this time.
