So many memories to remember about my Madrina (Godmother). From the time my mom met her while they were both living in a tenament in East Harlem. When she would ask my mom to take her dancing with her when it was ok then to have a chaperon take
them (my grandmother). When my mom was going to have a baby, she would not want anyone else to be the godmother but Elva.
When the feast of Mt. Carmel came in July, Elva, Tony and the kids would come visit me and my parents, since we lived three blocks from the church and the feast. Tony had to go and pick up a bag of dried chick peas which he loved and which I got hooked on later. When we would visit their home on Long Island for a sleepover weekend and for parties, it was always a beautiful event.
May you Rest In Peace, Madrina. Always in my heart and prayers. Love, Connie

Titi, I knew this time was coming, but nothing prepares you for a loss as great as this. I knew you missed Uncle Tony with all your heart and every day with you has been a gift. As the matriarch of our family, I've looked up to you my whole life. I know I am blessed to have had so many years with you, and I treasured every moment. You were like a grandma to me, and I will have nothing but great memories of you. I am grateful I was able to have a few alone moments with you in NY in October where I was able to tell you, "You are my favorite"..........because you are. You are an incredible woman, someone I've always looked up to. No-nonsense, straight to the point, but always so loving. You and Uncle Tony accepted everyone for who they were, as long as they are happy you both were happy, no judgement. That is how life should be, without judgement. I will treasure every visit you had with us, and love all the talks we used to have. I could listen to you forever. I love you so much. Rice pudding will always remind me of you...........I will treasure the memories of you at the stove stirring and stirring to make it for me. I know it will never be the same. You were there for us always, every important milestone in our lives we know you and Uncle Tony would be there........without a second thought. You valued education and ensuring we pushed ourselves to be the best we can be. Family was so important to you and you have made your mark. You lived a full life, and impacted us all so much. You can be proud of that. I want Brian's boys to call me Titi, in honor of you. If I can be half the Titi as you were to me, they will be very lucky boys. Every time I hear them say, "Titi Joyce" I think of you, because Titi will always be you. Thank you for coming down to Florida to spend time with us. We've treasured every visit. We are so honored to be able to spend your last birthday with you. Most of all, thank you for being a Mom to my Mom. She lost hers way too early, and I know she loved you with all her heart. You are a very special person, Titi Elva, and I will love you always. I hope you rest in eternal peace. We will love you always.

I have so many memories. Don’t know where to begin. You’ve been like a mother to me. Always listening & caring about my well being. You were always by my side, helping sew all of my bridesmaids dresses, muffs & head pieces to match. A beautiful Christmas Wedding. You went to all of my children’s (Joyce & Brian’s) special occasions, Communion’s , Graduation’s from both HS & Colleges. We went on a special cruise with my sisters Denise, Belinda, Cynthia & Joyce, the 6 of us. We all had a blast, so glad we were all able to do that. You have been my mentor, my sewing teacher, my cooking buddy. Oh we also were bowling partners too. And won 2nd Place & a trophy too. I don’t know, my life will never be in same without you in it. I will miss you dearly. You have been my favorite Aunt since I can remember. I love you, RIP & say Hi to my dad, Uncle Tony & Michael for me.
