Pat & Charlie welcomed our family with three children with open arms, when we moved two doors down on 38 Alexine Ave, East Rockaway. She was a great neighbor and grandmother to the children on the block. Not a holiday, birthday or other important event went by without a gift or something good to eat. Our girls Elise & Julianne, remember her very fondly, especially the time she made gingerbread houses with them at Christmastime. When she moved to Oceanside and then upstate NY with her companion Shitzu Smooshe, we were happy for her being with her family but heartbroken she would be far from our family.
Hearing of her passing was bittersweet, our loss but heaven's gain. We will always miss her but were very grateful and better for having had her briefly in our lives.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family and those who loved her.
