For Rae Rae,
there are people who enter your life that are special
they just snuggle their way in your heart
and before long they are someone you cherish
that you pray they will never depart.
one such person just as this was named Rachel
she was the daughter of my dearest true friend
from the day she was born she brought kindness
like an Angel, that heaven did send
her smile was as bright as the sunshine
and she'd laugh and she'd giggle all day
she was quick with her hugs and her kisses
cause thats just how it was with Rae Rae
people change as time flies by
in this world in which we live
but some are blessed by God above
with all the grace they have to give
a shooting star that lights the sky
one that never lasts for long
Taken from us way too soon
so unfair, it must be wrong.....
I'll miss you so my dear sweet friend
As I say goodbye in tears
oh if I could only take your place
to just extend your loving years

My dearest Rachael Fiorito, there are no words to describe how amazing you were. Beautiful on the inside and out. Fiercely kind to everyone. Funny and humble. A selflessly loyal, daughter, mother, wife, friend and most of all role model. I feel blessed and honored to call you my friend for the past 37 years.
You deserved so much better than what you got. I pray your legacy lives on in your babies. I pray for Joe, your parents, brothers, and family, and friends. Our tremendous loss is Heaven’s gain. Rest In Peace free of pain and suffering my beautiful friend. I will miss you, and am forever grateful to have known you.
I love you forever and always.

I didn’t know Rachael directly but it doesn’t take long to meet members of a family who are loyal and close to each other to see who they are as common thread as a family.
When I got to meet Rich in the prep time of their wedding , I could see why my friend of many years loved him. He looked at her many moments with genuine love but also did that similarly with all those in his family. And he was there for them ...
There are no words to share to ameliorate the pain of this loss for this family. As hard as I want to try , I can never really know what this has been like and will be like . But I know my fellow SHA (sacred heart academy high school) girl , Fran . There is nothing God can’t love through in the support of remaining family , especially together ...
Right now, it’s all about one step at a time . One moment at a time each hour. Look no further. God doesn’t expect more now.
One thing that has been a wonderful comfort and happy distraction when life weighs down weeks like this is what I have heard from the bereaved who come here to our stable where we teach lessons and offer public trail rides. These horses never fail to make everyone laugh , smile and inspire fascination.
Come on down anytime for a free pony hug, hilarious low angle selfie with one of them and allow yourself to not feel guilty to take a breather when you need it.
Or call me anytime for anything.

I met Rachael Catapano Fiorito when she began at MS 210. I supervised her when she taught 6 th grade. RacheL was lovely inside and outside. She worked with her students respectfully, patiently and showed kindness to both staff and students. My wife and I attended her wedding where she looked like a princess. May she Rest In Peace and may loving memories of her sustain each you in all the days to come. Deepest condolences to her family.
