An exceptional lady. So delightful, kind, warm, and witty, always telling people to bring presents from their vacations something dark, tall, and handsome and asked people if they'd believe she'd never been kissed as a woman in her 90s.
She was generous with her smiles and affection. I never thought aging can be as easy as she demonstrated, and with so much grace (and chocolate too!) She's got stronger sweet tooth than my toddler students!
I will miss her curiosity and laugh and the way she always wanted to look beautiful for me and her guests with her hair and lipstick. She showed dignity in her appearance. Her complexion and spirit was so youthful.
Loretta was a beautiful soul because of the love she received from her 4 children and their significant others and their own children. Her life was long and full of human connections. She did so well raising 4 children to go to college. The same has now extended to her grandchildren. Raising 4 children wasn't an easy feast for a single woman born in early 1920's. I would say she did a phenomenal job!
I used to have important conversations with her about her time. She had gone theough so many eras of changes and movement. She was a living history book for me. We had so much fun together! I'll miss her terribly.
I'll attach a couple videos and pictures. We sometimes met for piano impromptu! Here is my aunt visiting Loretta 2 years ago and Loretta performing a solo for her family and guests. Pictures are from over the years. I will miss her dearly.
My prayers and thoughts are with the family. I'm sorry I can't be there physically. I'll be praying throughout the day and week for each of you. Much much love, Nancy

今天早上ㄧ位認識很久的朋友過世。他很幽默也讓人很溫馨常常提醒我們去旅行要記得帶個禮物回來。當我們問他要什麼禮物的時候、他就說一定要 黑、高、帥。讓我們大家都開心不已。
他50幾年前就守寡了。那個時候最小的孩子四歲。一個女人 拉拔四個孩子長大念大學很讓人敬佩。一直到老的時候他都相個三歲的小孩充滿著好奇心。他幾年前生病頭腦不清晰入住院、也忘了誰是他的孩子、有幾個孩子、孩子叫什麼名字。扯了好久他的兒子就說我的名字 Nancy怎麼樣怎麼樣呀⋯⋯他的頭腦突然轉好起來、記得我是誰、問我近況好嗎。那時我在台灣。他兒子說她媽媽的潛意識好像從來沒有忘記我。
我們常常因為鋼琴課見面。我喜歡問他1920年時代他是當事人的歲月。他是走過那麼多年代-對女人的歧視的年代、對黑人的歧視的歲月、又亂性亂毒又對同性戀害怕的時段、對各種歧視、以及變動和讓不平的事情明朗化等等多的年代。今天對她來講、這些落落起起也就告一段落。這樣的人你會請不自禁地懷念他。
